Circus Smirkus Ruff Tops - Widget

After a four year hunt for black and white striped leather (first seen in our Showtime collection last halloween) we were excited to add this graphic pop of pattern to more pieces. Since the theme for this year’s Edwardian Ball in San Francisco was the Edward Gorey Pop-Up book, we wanted to do a classic black and white combo. Taking inspiration from Erin Morgenstern’s, The Night Circus, Dark Garden’s Incite Collection, and vaudeville clowning, Circus Smirkus combines black and white stripes, polka dots, and stars with stingray shimmer. Leather is notoriously difficult to photograph properly to show their true colors. Images are as close to the item's actual color as possible but none are truly exact. Additionally, not all devices and screens are calibrated in the same way, which can result in inaccurate color representation.

Please refer to our Sizing Video on Instagram or the Sizing Chart to help determine your size. Ruffs can NOT be resized BUT we do offer ruff extenders for the snaps across the ribs and back. If you need extenders, you can purchase a set HERE for $20. Be sure to mention in NOTES at check out what your rib measurement is so we can make the appropriate sized set of extenders for you. We will match the leathers when possible or we will choose a complimentary leather in cases where we can not.

NOTE: These ruffs have attended faires and festivals prior to being listed online. Each has been hand-checked for any damage and cleaned but there may still be some dust in the nooks and pleats. 

It is common for ruffs to have seams (it's a shame there are no hides long enough to make these all continuous and without seams, but alas!) If you would like the ruff top but are worried about visible seams, please contact us and we can discuss options to conceal these and start an order for you!
